Thirteen Association of Independent Institutions Conference student-athletes are among the 131 women's golf student-athletes that have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes.

Five A.I.I. schools were represented among those honored with five student-athletes from Jamestown College, three from Ashford University, two each from California State-San Marcos and SUNY Delhi (N.Y.), and one from the university of Houston-Victoria being recognized on this year's awards list. Jamestown led all institutions with five individuals on the list.

LINCOLN, Neb. - With a tight leaderboard, the California State-San Marcos Lady Cougars share the lead with the Oklahoma City Stars after the second round of the 2013 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club.

With only five shots separating the top four teams, the Lady Cougars and Stars each posted second-round scores of 305 to gain a three-shot advantage over the rest of the field going into Thursday's third round.
