The Lady Comets (11-12) won their third match this week, including today's match up with Mid-Continent University. The Lady Comets were ready to get even with the Lady Cougars; a team that beat the Lady Comets twice last season, this season was a different story. The Lady Comets defeated the Lady Cougars in 4 games winning the first set (25-20), but losing the second match (20-25). The third and fourth match were dominated by the Lady Comets who won both sets (25-12)(25-17). Three players had double digit kills for the Lady Comets, sophomore Jasmine Vann (10 kills), sophomore Rachel Walton (10 kills) , and freshman Kelsey Watson(15 kills). Rachel Walton had another strong night with 10 kills, 22 digs, and 3 blocks, Jasmine Vann added 15 digs to her 10 kills and 2 blocks. Kelsey Watson came up big for the Lady Comets today with 15 kills (107 kills this season) to go along with 7 digs and 15 blocks in the match. Sophomore Deanna Chambers added 9 kills and 5 blocks, while freshman setter Jennifer Watts had another double digit assist total with 37 assists today giving her 357 assists this season. Freshman Jamilyn Moonen and Tiffani Hicks played strong for the Lady Comets; Moonen had another double digit dig total today with 17(183 digs this season), while Hicks added 6 digs and 2 serve receptions.
