Summer Hale and Shannon Nadler recorded five blocks at the IWU Tournament
COLUMBUS, Ohio - After turning in one of their best offensive performances of the season on Thursday the Ohio Dominican volleyball team struggled to find a rhythm over the weekend at the Indiana Wesleyan University Tournament. The Panthers dropped three of four games to bring their record to 12-13 overall.
 

ODU opened the weekend in Marian, Indiana with a pair of straight set loses to the host Wildcats and Davenport (Mich.) University. The Panthers looking to bounce back on Saturday earning a 3-1 (25-14, 25-22, 12-25, 25-21) victory over McKendree (Ill.) University, but couldn't carry on that momentum as they dropped another three game set to Taylor (Ind.) University.

       
Junior outside hitter Rachel Billing (Anna, OH) led the dismal Panther offense with a combined 46 kills in the four games, including her best performance of the season versus McKendree with 23 kills. For the weekend the Panthers averaged just 10.62 kills per game and hit .133 well below the season average. ODU who has hung their hat on the defensive side of the court also saw a below average performance recording just 20 blocks and allowed 17 aces in the four games.
       
Cassie Schroeder (Sr. /Columbus Grove, OH) is returning to form following her early season injury as she directed the offense with 60 assists. Billings added 53 digs and Shannon Nadler (Fr. /Leipsic, OH) and Summer Hale (Jr. /Galena, OH) had a total of five blocks for ODU.
       
The Panthers will return to action on Wednesday, October 14th as they look to earn their second win of the season over West Liberty State (WV) University. ODU defeated WLSU, 3-0, on their home floor earlier in the season  Match-time for the Panthers and Hilltoppers is set for 7 p.m. in West Liberty, West Virginia.
