February 3, 2010- Sharon Houston is the Association of Independent Institutions Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 2, 2010.
Sharon Houston, a 6'4 sophomore forward, won her second A.I.I. Athlete of the Week award this week after averaging 30.5 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks over a two-game stretch. After missing two-games, Houston scored 18 points and 11 rebounds in a loss to IU-South Bend, but responded with a career high 43 points, shooting 20-for-28 from the field, adding 19 rebounds and seven blocks in a 77-61 win over Marygrove.
