Arjan Bhullar, a senior men's wrestler from Richmond, British Columbia, is well on his way to defending his 2009 NAIA National Championship at 285lbs, winning the NAIA West Regional in Havre, Montana, this past weekend. Bhullar defeated Alex Evers from CBU in his opening match 8-3, and beat SOU's John Bates 8-6 in the final. In 2009, Bhullar became the first ever SFU wrestler to win both the NAIA and CIS National Championships.
Juliette Keller, a sophomore guard from Kouts, Indiana, led IU Northwest to their sixth and seventh straight wins this week, scoring a career high 34 points in an 85-81 win over Holy Cross, and following up that performance with 28 points in a 68-36 win over Marygrove. Keller shot 54.8 per cent over the week from the field, including 52.9 per cent from outside, as the RedHawks reached the 20 win plateau (20-10) for the first time in program history.
