March 3, 2010 - Ohio Dominican University's Aaron Gibbs and Voorhees' Antonia Robinson are the Association of Independent Institutions Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 2, 2010.
Aaron Gibbs, a sophomore forward from Oberlin, Ohio, posted 64 points over three games at the 2010 A.I.I. Division II Men's Basketball Championship. Gibbs led the Panthers to the A.I.I. Championship game, scoring 24, 24 and 16 points over the tournament. In the Championship final, the Panthers came up just short, falling 65-60 to Johnson & Wales, however Gibbs registered 16 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Antonia Robinson, a sophomore guard from North Charleston, South Carolina, posted 43 points over three games this past week, including 17 in a 66-57 win over Concordia College-Selma. Robinson finished the week shooting 46.2 per cent from the field over the course of the week.
