Release - Lambuth University guard Jenee Webb and head coach Tony Hill have
been named the NAIA Association of Independent Institutions Division I Women's
Basketball Player and Coach of the Year, respectively, the conference office
announced on Friday morning. The conference also released the 2010
All-Conference team.
Webb, a senior guard from Las Vegas, finished the season 11th in the NAIA in points per game (18.556) and scored a season high 36 points in a 79-64 win over Alabama-Huntsville. Webb is also 24th in the NAIA in total scoring (501 points) and is 44th in made three-pointers per game (2.074).
Hill led Lambuth to a 17-10 regular season record, and the top seed in the A.I.I. tournament, which begins on Saturday, March 6. The Eagles are currently 15th in scoring offence per game in the NAIA (75.037), 18th in free throw percentage (73.4 per cent), and 19th in three-point made field goals per game (6.926). Lambuth also posted a seven-game winning streak midway through the year, and have won nine of their last 13 games entering Saturday's competition.
