COLUMBUS, Ohio -The Ohio Dominican women's golf team finished second at the Piedmont Spring Invitational during last weeks spring trip to Atlanta, Georgia. ODU shot a team total of 726 in the two round event held at Orchard Country Club. 
 

Ohio Dominican's 726 total was four strokes behind team champion and host institution PiedmontCollege. Piedmont shot a two day total of 722. ODU sat in third place following the first round score of 377, but bettered their score by 28 strokes with a tournament low round of 349. 

       
Ohio Dominican was led by Sarah Vonderembse (So./Lima, OH) who shot a combined 178 (90/88) and finished tied for 14th overall. Amanda Costanzo (Fr./Silver Lake, OH) finished tied for 16th place after saving 11 strokes off her first round score of 96 to shot a 181. Alex Numbers (So./Sugarcreek, OH) also had an impressive second round as she posted a team low round of 84 to finish tied for 18th place with a score of 182.
       
Andrea Daly playing as an individual from Methodist University earned medalist honors shooting a two round total of 164 (81/83). Taylor Lanning also of Methodist finished second with a combined score of 166 (84/82).   
       
The Panthers will return to action on Monday, March 29th as they travel to the Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational at Springbrook Country Club in Athens, Tennessee.
