Ohio Dominican and Ashland Hold First Annual Friends of Jaclyn Game
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Dominican softball team hosted its first annual Friends of Jaclyn (FOJ) game today as they took on Ashland University at Panther Field. FOJ is a non-profit, charitable organization that improves the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families. The children are adopted by college or high school athletic teams and are welcome at all team events and functions.

The Panthers and Eagles, both part of the FOJ program, partnered up to host the FOJ game as part of the upcoming Friends of Jaclyn Week. The FOJ Week will take place next week across the nation, but because of scheduling, the teams decided to join together and host it this afternoon.

As part of the game, a fundraiser featuring a Jim Tressel autographed home plate and Michael Redd autographed basketball, along with other terrific gifts were raffled off with all proceeds going to the FOJ foundation. Each team's honorary team members, Reagyn and sister Baylee Semler of ODU and Mariah Thomas of Ashland and their families were introduced prior to the game. ODU's adoptees, Reagyn and her big sister Baylee of London, Ohio, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.
