COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio Dominican's Amanda Costanzo helped lead the women's golf team to its second straight second place finish of the spring season at the Tennessee Wesleyan Spring Invitational. The Panthers shot a two round total of 721 at Springbrook Golf Club in Niota, Tennessee.
The Panthers battled through a rough first round as they sat in third place behind eventual team champions, the University of the Cumberlands and host Tennessee Wesleyan. ODU bounced back and bettered their team score by 23 strokes in round two finish the tournament second with a total score of 721 (372/349).
Emma Cutmore of the Cumberlands was named the tournament medalist as she fired a tournament low 159 (84/75). On her heals were teammates Laura Beth Harris and McKinzie Price who finished tied for second with a score of 163 (85/78), which helped lead the Patriots to the team title.
Costanzo (Fr./Silver Lake, OH) led the way for the Panthers bettering her first round score by 10 strokes to finish with a combined score of 172 (91/81). Joining Costanzo in the top 10 was Sarah Vonderembse (So./Lima, OH) who finished eighth with a two round total of 177 (90/87). Kelsey Brock (So./Zanesville, OH) finished tied for 14th place with a score of 183 (96/87).
