Memphis, TN, Crichton College's Men's basketball team played their second game in two days while visiting New Orleans, this time winning a double overtime game against the Blue Devils of Dillard University.
The Comets and Blue Devils were back and forth throughout the game and eventually ended regulation time with a score 64-64, forcing the game into overtime. After both teams scored 8 points in overtime, the games was forced into a second overtime, were the Comets outscored the Blue Devils 12-9 giving them the go ahead victory with a score of 84-81. The Comets had five players in double figures; Junior Jerranda Wheeler led all players with 20 points, followed closely by Andre Allen who had 15 points and 6 assists. Senior Emanuel Wimbush recorded his second double-double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Junior Shawn Sabb recorded his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 17 rebounds. Junior Johnny McLawhorn finished out the double digit players with his 11 points on the night. The Comets will be back in action on Tuesday Nov. 18th when they travel to Jackson, MS to take on Tougaloo College, game starts at 7 pm.
