The Association of Independent Institutions has two teams ranked in the top five of the latest NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 Poll with California State University-San Marcos in at No. 2 and British Columbia at No. 4.
The cougars received three first-place votes and 604 points to remain at No. 2, while British Columbia slipped slightly falling from No 3 to No. 4 with 549 points.
Azusa Pacific (Calif.) remained at No. 1 with 19 first place votes and 620 points.
With CSUSM and British Columbia holding down the top two independent conference positions, Jamestown (N.D.) follows at No. 3 and Dakota St. (N.D.) is at No. 4.
