Six Association of Independent Institutions schools have broken into the NAIA Top 25 men's basketball polls this week.
Three teams each have been recognized in the Division I and II polls, with four of the teams inside the Top 25.
Mountain State (W. Va.) leads the way in Division I ranked No. 11 with an 11-5 record, while California State University-San Marcos, in its first year of varsity competition, jumps into the poll at No. 24 with an 11-6 record. Voorhees (S.C.) also received votes in the latest poll.
Oklahoma Baptist (14-0) is the top-ranked Division I team, followed by Shorter (Ga.) at No. 2 with a 15-0 mark.
In Division II, Jamestown College (N.D.) moves from No. 13 to No. 10 with a 16-4 record. Valley City State University (14-5) also jumped into the Top 25 for the first time this season at No. 23. Dakota State (S.D.) also received votes in this week's poll.
Northwood (Fla.), at 14-1, holds down the No. 1 spot in Division 2, while Dordt (Iowa) at 17-1 follows at No. 2.
