The University of Houston-Victoria Jaguars will be well represented Saturday night when the Harlem Ambassadors bring their high-flying basketball show to Victoria.

Athletic Director Ashley Walyuchow and assistant soccer coaches Brian Hardie and Patrick Sullivan will be part of the Victoria Stars team tipping off against the Ambassadors.

The event is a fundraiser sponsored by the Victoria Crossroads Kiwanis Club, and proceeds will benefit the Key Clubs at Victoria West and Cuero high schools, as well as the Bully Alert Programs in place at many Victoria schools.

Walyuchow said the three jumped at the chance to take part in the game.

"The Ambassadors are all college graduates," Walyuchow said. "Their positive and important messages for students to stay in school and stay off drugs go hand in hand with the goals of the UHV athletic program and what the NAIA stands for."

The game will be played at 7 p.m. in the old Memorial High School gymnasium. Tickets will be available at the door.
