Ashford University's Hollie Babut and Jamestown College's Gus Ramasco have earned top honors in the Association of Independent Institutions this week as Babut has been named Female Athlete of the Week, while Ramasco has been named the Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 27-Sept. 2.

Babut, a junior midfielder from Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, was on target this week scoring five goals and dishing out three assists in a 2-1 week for Ashford that included a win over 19th-ranked Robert Morris. She fired 15 shots, placing 11 on goal in the three matches.

Ramasco, a sophomore quarterback from Winnemucca, NV, led the Jimmies to 349 total yards and four touchdowns in a loss to Concordia-Moorehead. Ramasco threw for 227 yards on 18 of 34 passing with touchdown tosses of 5 and 34 yards. He also scored on a 1-yard run.
