The California State University-San Marcos women's soccer team moved up a spot Tuesday to No. 12 in the latest NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

The Cougars (3-2) were the lone Association of Independent Institutions school in the Top 25, with Ashford lurking just outside the Top 25.

Ashford (Iowa), a newcomer to the A.I.I., received 76 votes in the poll was at No. 27.

CSUSM and Ashford were the top two teams in the conference rankings as well. Rounding out the conference rankings are the University of Houston-Victoria (Texas) at No. 3, Jamestown (N.D.) at No. 4, Rochester (Mich.) at No. 5 and Fisher (Mass.) at No. 6.

Lee (Tenn.) received 18 first-place votes and remains the top-ranked NAIA women's team, followed by Concordia (Ore.) at No. 2 and Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) at No. 3.
