Valley City State (N.D.), the lone Association of Independent Conference schools in the rankings, fell one spot this week from No. 20 to No. 21 in the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll.

VSCU, currently at 3-1 on the season, tallied 77 points in the latest poll.

Saint Xavier (Ill.) received all 14 first-place votes and remains at No. 1 with 314 point, while Marian (Ind.) with 301 points, remains at No. 2. Rounding out the top five are Georgetown (Ky.), Morningside (Iowa) and Missouri Valley.
