For the second time this season, British Columbia and California State-San Marcos have swapped positions as CSUSM has recaptured the top spot in the latest NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 poll released Wednesday.
The two teams have been ranked 1-2 for most of the young season with UBC overtaking CSUSM for the top spot two weeks ago. CSUSM received 16-of-20 first-place votes and 586 points to earn the top spot. UBC fell to No. 2 with 565 points.
Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) remained at No. 3 with 550 points, while the College of Idaho was in at No. 4 and Biola (Calif.) was at No. 5.
British Columbia and CSUSM are the top two ranked Association of Independent Institutions Conference teams, and are followed by Jamestown (N.D.) at No.3, Ashford (Iowa) at No. 4, and Dakota State (S.D.) at No. 5 in the conference rankings.
