
The Jamestown College softball team voluntarily worked diligently to help improve life for children on Sunday, October 7.
Twenty-Five Jimmie softball players worked for three hours in the early Sunday hours to make the YMCA learning center playground safer.Weeds were pulled, sand was tilled, holes were filled, and a little corner of the world was made a little more beautiful.
Melissa Stoudt, YMCA learning center director, said, "The playground looks amazing.It was very much appreciated."
Along with thanking his Jimmie softball players, Coach Kevin Gall shouted out appreciation for the Jamestown Parks and Recreation for loaning out a tractor and a tiller for the project.
Coach Gall said, "This was something that needed to be done.Kids will appreciate it and have a bigger sand box."
Children were witnessed making sand angels on Monday.
