MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State outhit Presentation (S.D.) 57-32 in killsTuesday night as the Trojans swept the season series with the Saints with a 3-1 victory (25-15, 22-25, 25-17 and 25-12) at DSU Fieldhouse. Kristen DiPaola opened the fourth set by smashing her 1000th career kill through two seasons with the Trojans.

Dakota State recorded their third win in the last four matches to improve their overall record to 12-14. Presentation, NCAA Division III independent member, suffered their eighth straight defeat and dropped their overall record to 3-21. Dakota State defeated Presentation in Aberdeen, S.D. in three straight sets on Sept. 11, 2012.

DiPaola opened the fourth set by recording a career milestone, becoming the second DSU player to record 1000th career within the last two years (Stephanie Kruggel - Oct. 21, 2011 vs. Oklahoma Wesleyan). She smashed three consecutive kills to give Trojans a 4-0 lead (PC committed an attack error on the third point of the fourth set). The Trojans widen their lead to 10-2. Dakota State extended to their largest lead of the match at 20-5. DSU secured the match with a 25-12 convincing fourth set win. Dakota State hit .452 in the fourth set, while Presentation had a .120 hitting efficiency.

DiPaola amassed a total of 25 kills (8 kills in the fourth set) for the Trojans. Caitlin Pick smashed 10 kills. Taylor Mosco added eight kills. Allison Thielsen had seven kills. Stacey Schuller produced 41 set assists.
