The California State University-San Marcos volleyball team moved up two spots and was tied for No. 16 this week in the Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 poll released Tuesday.
CSUSM (21-12), the top-ranked team in the Association of Independent Institutions Conference poll, received 303 points in the latest poll.
Jamestown (N.D.) was the only other A.I.I. school to receive votes in the weekly poll with 25.
For the first time this season a new No. 1 was crown with Concordia (Calif.) taking over the top spot from UT-Brownsville. Concordia used a 3-2 win over UT-Brownsville to gain the top spot, along with 3-0 wins over No. 12 Westmont (Calif.) and Arizona Christian.
Concordia garnered all 23 first-place votes and 653 points, while UT-Brownsville fell to No. 2 with 632 points. Columbia (Mo.) stayed at No. 3 and Biola (Calif.) at No. 4, while Hastings (Neb.) moved up a spot to No. 5.
