Jamestown College's Carly Jensen and Dakota State University's Andy Coy have earned top honors in the Association of Independent Institutions this week as Jensen has been named Female Athlete of the Week, while Coy has been named the Male Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20.

Jensen, a 5-foot-9 junior from White Bear Lake, MN, went 9-for-13 from beyond the arc to lead the Jimmies to wins over Dakota State and Mayville State to win the Dakota Tip-Off Classic. She added three assists, three rebounds and two steals for the 17th-ranked Jimmies.

Coy, a senior from Hill City, S.D., produced a NAIA national qualifying time in the men's one mile clocking a time of 4 minutes, 13.53 seconds in his first meet of the season. The time is also the current fastest time in the NAIA as he claimed the one mile title at the Iowa State Open. A three-time NAIA Indoor Track and Field All-American, he qualified for his four straight NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
