KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In the fifth regular-season edition of the 2015 NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Grizzlies of Georgia Gwinnett are the No. 1 squad, the national office announced Tuesday. The top-team gathered up 12-of-14 first-place votes and 373 points en route to the 10th No. 1 ranking in program history.
Georgia Gwinnett (7-6) has come up just short in some stiff competition as of late, going 1-2 in its last three matches. The Grizzlies were swept 5-0 by NCAA Division II Hawaii-Pacific on April 3, and also dropped a decision to NCAA Division II West Florida, 6-3. Sandwiched in between those defeats was a 5-0 blanking of NCAA Division II Valdosta State (Ga.). All three matches were in Pensacola, Fla.
