Seattle, WA - The inaugural NAIA Association of Independent Institutions Championship men's and women's cross country championships were claimed on Saturday by the rising Cal State San Marcos Cougars cross country program. On the women's side, the #3 ranked Cougars knocked off the defending NAIA National Champions from Simon Fraser University, while on the men's side the Cougars narrowly edged SFU by five points to win the title.
